Privacy Policy

The short version

YipLink works inside your browser. The text you paste and the links it finds stay on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't set cookies, and this version of YipLink has no analytics or advertising scripts.

Who we are

YipLink is a free tool made by Wonderbloom Labs (“we”, “us”) and published at labs.wonderbloom.co/yiplink.

What happens to the text you paste

• When you paste into YipLink, your browser runs our code on your own device to find the YouTube links in that text.
• The text, the video titles and the links are not sent to our servers, and YipLink doesn't save them. When you close or reload the page, they're gone.
• YipLink only reads your clipboard when you paste or click the Paste button. Your browser may ask for permission first.
• Files you download (.txt and .csv) are created on your device.

Video thumbnails come from YouTube

To show a thumbnail next to each link, your browser loads the image directly from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com). Like any website, YouTube (Google) receives the request, which includes your IP address, your browser details and which thumbnail was requested. Google's handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Our web host

YipLink is hosted on Netlify. Its pages, fonts and images are served from our own site, so no third-party font or script services are used. Like most hosting providers, Netlify may keep technical logs of requests (such as IP address, time, page requested and browser type) to run and protect the service. You can read how Netlify handles personal data in its privacy statement.

Cookies and tracking

This version of YipLink sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and runs no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. If we add any of these in the future, we'll update this page before they go live.

Changes to this policy

If we change how YipLink handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
